Incident Details: During the game, the Head Coach of the Indiana Pacers (Ben Reid) was observed repeatedly disputing decisions made by the officiating team, with particular focus on a junior green-shirt trainee official. Approximately seven minutes into the game, the Head Coach approached the Supervisor team to raise a concern that the official was refereeing a game involving their sibling. As the game was already in progress, no changes were made; however, the Supervisors monitored the situation and identified no evidence of bias. Following this, the Head Coach continued to dispute decisions and directed comments towards the junior official. While the official was addressing a bench-related matter, the Head Coach stated, “of course we’re not getting the calls because he is your brother,” implying bias or misconduct. In response, the official issued the Head Coach with a technical foul in accordance with the rules. The Head Coach directed targeted and inappropriate conduct towards an official, who was also a minor and a trainee.
